4.1. Methodological overview

The methodology followed in this course is oriented towards the achievement of the learning objectives. A wide range of teaching and learning tasks are implemented, such as lectures, practice sessions, autonomous work, study and assessment tasks.

Students are expected to participate actively in class throughout the semester.

Further information regarding the course will be provided on the first day of class.

The course includes the following learning tasks: 

  • Lectures.
  • Practice sessions.
  • Autonomous work and study.
  • Assessment tasks.

a. Grammatical contents:

  1. Passato prossimo
  2. Imperfect indicative
  3. Future simple
  4. Partitive
  5. Pronouns (personal, direct object, indirect object, reflexive)

b. Lexical contents:

  1. Shops
  2. Clothes
  3. The human body
  4. Colours
  5. The weather
  6. Animals
  7. Sport and leisure

c. Communicative contents:

  1. Arranging to meet someone
  2. Directions in the city
  3. Describing people, things and situations
  4. Talking about the past
  5. Making plans for the future

d. Cultural contents:

  1. Geography of Italy
  2. Festivals
  3. Songs and singers
  4. Films
  5. Literature
